Palettes - Oh I love getting palettes ready!!

I sorted out the palette and made choices of colours for the commission for Glenda. I'm going to be using a fair few of Terry Harrison's paint colours (in his range that is); so I decided to use a palette I had already prepared for one of his books - Project 16 - "Brush with Watercolour". I did the original test page using a different palette but I didn't feel that there was enough unity in the colours so that is why I'm going to use this palette from P.16. I will therefore be using fewer colours for the background. I'm sure I'll still need to mix up a few different colours for the man and the bike though. :o)

I painted some exercises from Trudy Friend's book "Watercolour Problems and Solutions" to try out a different way to paint foliage.
